Meanwhile, International Representative Matthew Armstrong said any action taken at the Republic Steel Company plant will depend upon results of a comparable wage study in other steel plants being made by Federal Conciliator James Dewey of Washington. The S. W. 0. C.

has protested a company refusal to include 12 blooming mill crane operators in its bonus system for "key" men. However, the company agreed to give them the equivalent of the bonus for three consecutive days, pending Mr. Dewey's findings, Mr. Armstrong said. A meeting Wednesday with Martin H.

Stearns, plant relations manager, failed to bring wage increases for chipping-crane operators, although some grievances were settled in the union and others are pending, Mr. Armstrong reported. The crane men will meet tomorrow afternoon in 1520 South Park ave. Broaden U. C.
